Full description

The Yellow Archangel has toothed leaves in pairs up the stem and produces several ringlets of small yellow hooded flowers, which are extremely pretty when examined closely.

It is a plant of ancient woodlands and old hedge banks, and will propagate by means of stolons.  It will grow on heavy clay or chalky soils and is a useful plant for the dark, damp areas of the garden where it will add some brightness in the early summer.

Visited by bumblebees.
