Nettle-Leaved Bellflower
Campanula trachelium
Full description
The Nettle-Leaved Bellflower has, as its name suggests, nettle shaped leaves and is an attractive tall perennial plant with blue/purple bell-like flowers on the top 10-20 cm of each stem.
It is an important late flowering plant of alkali and neutral woodlands and hedgerows, and likes more fertile soil than most wild flowers.
