Full description

The Foxglove is a biennial plant which develops a large leaf-rosette in the first year and an erect leafy flower stem in the second.  The plant is poisonous.  It has drooping funnel shaped pink or purple flowers from June to September and is normally found in woodlands, hedgerows and on river banks.  It prefers acid soils.
