Full description

Cats Ear is a common perennial plant with generally hairy leaves in a basal rosette and yellow flowers at the top of the stems.

It can be found across a wide range of pHs, mostly in short grasslands, dry meadows and on banks.  It can feature in flowering lawns and benefits from two or three cuts a year.

The plant is an important nectar source for butterflies.
