Grown as part of a hedge, or as a shrub or tree, Hawthorn is a great addition to any garden.

It has attractive leaves and is adorned with white flowers in spring and beautiful red berries in the autumn.  The Hawthorn is a must in every garden.

It is an important nectar source in the Spring and the chosen food plant of several species of moth, including the Mottled Beauty.  In the autumn the berries provide food for many birds including Fieldfares, Redwings and Waxwings.

Hawthorn is not fussy with regards to soil.  Allow one of the plants to grow up into a mature tree from within the hedge.

Bare-root hedging plants are available at 40-60 cm or 60-90 cm size.

PLEASE NOTE: Minimum order for Hedgerow Plants is 30 plants.  (This could be 10 each of 3 different species.)  If ordering in addition to a Hedgerow Collection, then any number can be ordered.  Despatches start in late November.

For protection from rabbits, use our spiral guards and canes.
